Dr. Krystal Curtis

Dr. Krystal Curtis has spent 30 years in the educational systems of WV and MD. She graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1978. Her Bachelor’s degrees were awarded from Fairmont State University: one in chemistry/physics and the other in secondary education. She was awarded a Master’s degree in secondary education and a Doctorate in secondary education from West Virginia University. She also holds an administrative certificate. The positions she has held as an educator include chemistry/physics teacher, department leader, assistant principal, attendance director, and test coordinator. She has also be blessed with the opportunity to get back into music by participating in the pit orchestra for the BISFA production of Phantom of the Opera as well as participating in the BISFA wind band.

Mark Keefer

Mr. Keefer was born and raised in Hagerstown and attended local schools.  Upon graduation from North Hagerstown High School in 1995, he attended Frostburg State University and graduated with a BS in Biology.  He continued his education with Frostburg and earned a Master’s in Educational Administration and Supervision in 2006.  He spent 11 years teaching grades 7 and 8 at Antietam Academy, as well as 3 years teaching Biology in the Twilight Program. He spent the next 5 years teaching 7th and 8th grade Science at Northern Middle, where he also served as 8th grade Team Leader, was a member of the Instructional Leadership Team, and was a certified AVID Elective teacher.  Mr. Keefer is excited to be a member of the Barbara Ingram Staff and is looking forward to serving the talented and diverse students here!
